        Hi I am Julie from Devon. I run 3 dogs 2 shelties grade 2 and 5 and a welsh springer spaniel grade 5. I am struggling with weaves in the ring with my young sheltie in training his focus is quite good. However at a show when he goes faster usually it is like the weaves aren’t there he just runs past them and it takes a couple of attempts to get him through them. It is a shame because his focus over jumps is good and contacts are good too. He understands 12 weaves any ideas please.

          Hey! Nice to meet you on here – this sort of thing is usually a generalisation thing, I would recommend trying to train in different locations and generalising the weaves as much as possible. If you have a set yourself, or can take 4 poles to different locations that would be great, also keep moving the poles around The training venue your your at so there in different locations and not ‘always in the same place’
