    Hi Darcy!

    Looking good!

Well done, will be good to get her a RDW!

I cant quite hear on the video, but just in case you’re not, I would be making sure to give her the new running dog walk queue now while doing this mat work e.g. Over over!

Yes its good to do some mart work with food from the hand, but when you move onto the plank I would just focus on using the MM to start with until she has a good idea, that way its easier for her to associate the dog walk behaviour with the manners minder and will hopefully create less confusion between your running and stop dog walk.

I think the mat work is looking good so I would start some basics on the plank – just because you start on the plank, doesn’t mean you can’t carry on proofing them at work on the floor in different sessions. Your sessions on the dog walk can be very easy and your sessions on the floor could be difficult but it would be nice to start to get the association with the dog walk plank!

When you’re getting around 80 to 90% success, usually that’s a good time to progress.

And it’s February, so get training lots because the show season isn’t far away!!

    Martin
