    Hey!

First of all, I think your video and your training looks super good! The only thing I would do is put the reward next to the third pole rather than the fourth pole, I think this encourages even more deceleration which should hopefully help getting the poles 1-2 rather than 1 to 3 as it encourages more deceleration in the first gap.

Sometimes what I would do during the sessions is not have the ball there as a lure every time. Have it there sometimes, then other times take it away, then put it back in etc etc so it is unpredictable 🙂 hopefully meaning easier to phase out.

Don’t worry about the speed, that will definitely come with confidence and also sequencing!

I think the training you are doing here is fantastic. Carry that on, also when training sequences with hard weave entries I would put some form of barrier (like you have) alongside pole, three of the weave, so it is almost impossible to do 1-3, so we are just really teaching the dogs to slow down.

The other thing you can do to help with the original problem, is practice with the fence helping but use your body speed to make it harder, for example send to the weaves but then as she is approaching them start to race off because then she will more likely want to offer 1-3 – but of course the barrier is there blocking it 🙂
