Hello,I am Czech 🇨🇿 living in UK 🇬🇧 for some time now.I started Agility with my two previous shelties blue merle Kira and sable Mia.My 1st club haven’t been really teaching us anything and I was there over 2years maybe even longer happy I am actually doing something with my dogs. Then they said I should try competing haha 😂.Eh ok my English language wasn’t very good at that time,I am naturally shy and keeping to myself. My totally first competition was sometime at the winter February 2018 at UKA show at Cheltenham race course.I didn’t had anyone to help me out,I had to find it all by my self,I was trying find out how it’s working but was to shy ask,on the end I went to office begging them to tell me what to do I was on the verge of tears the language barrier was problem too🙈..On the end some lady taken me around and explained how it works with tablets and booking in to classes.I remember absolutely first run 😅,when I was so nervous and started before they were ready and eliminated us so that was me starting.By the time I find out I actually don’t know anything so I booked few courses at Laura Hope’s field at Cleeve Hill where I met You guys had no idea who you are and that was the moment I find out I don’t know anything 😅😂.The question before run -What are you planning to do?Answer -I don’t know,I will just go 🙈🥴 and figure it out on the way like we always do😅.All the looks 🙈😂.Funny how I was actually keeping going with my dogs at shows without proper training I mostly went in to UKA at that time finding difficult plan to forward with my horse job so it was just easier to go pay in the day, more classes as well, less people too,I find KC shows way to long and large.I loved UKA shows.Well covid came and we never went back with my two girls,I let once run Mia after the years but we haven’t been training at all so it was just to remember good days.Well I lost both my girls now,it’s been year since Mia joined in Kira who left me 3 years ago.Well 2024 at November I brought home little blue merle sheltie puppy and named her Viva I guess all blues are crazy 😂 and loud.Over the years with Kira and Mia I had tried different club but it wasn’t sitting well with me there and met my trainer there and started training with her since. So when I brought Viva I contacted her again and we were joining in her puppy classes and later on in young dogs classes where we are still at.Well I knew I needed second dog as it’s very weird after years having just one and Viva needed friend. So I started looking.Well then Zoey came up at one of Czech breeders kennel and I knew she must be related to Mia as all her sables in her kennel came from Mia’s sister. So I had contacted her straight away.Nervous as Czech breeders are very picky for homes for their babies. But she remembered me from times when I used to show my girls at Czech 🇨🇿 every time when we went home.Mia was once against hers pup in the class as no one else came as there was some swapping of judges and no one liked him.Well Iveta is more experienced so she won.So she was happy to sell me Zoey so I went home for her last November and traveled with her back here. And so here are two pups and I think we need bit more then ones a week training. So when I seen this into shape agility and short videos of workouts,I thought I will try out.As everything seems be faster and harder at agility today. And I am getting bit older now as well so I need to be smarter and learn more.I don’t expect to be winning 🥇 yeah it would be nice of course, but there are very good dogs out there even the one from our puppy classes with Viva, they’re bullet fast and they’re much much better then we are.But I like to do just as best we can.And I know there is still so much to learn. But girls seems to love it.So here we are.
Viva has troubles with loud noises and it messed up with our weaves (there was police siren 🚨 at Newbury showground show on the road and even it wasn’t anywhere close m)she shut down and run to me that was first show for us and for now last too,as she put the noise together with weaves so we are kind of starting over again even she was doing well.I was teaching weaves before (Kira and Mia) by luring,so I don’t quite get the chanel training 🙈 yet,so I am not very helpful there.Contacts probably needs more work too.I need to watch better the dog line what they see what’s better and easier.Zoey is in training only for few months (as winter was very wet and the training venue is outdoors)and already she is doing so good, everyone is amazed by her,me too,she is going to be fast 💨She really enjoys it.So Viva is 20 months old now and Zoey will be in few days 10 months old.I was hoping starting slowly about autumn/winter time with some shows with Viva. But there is so much work still before us.Sorry it’s long.I am really looking forward to diving in to your training.
